About this opportunity
The Lorne and Joyce Peters Bursary is an entrance bursary awarded annually to undergraduate students enrolled in Year One of any program in the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo. One bursary valued at $4,000 or two bursaries valued at $2,000 each are awarded on the basis of financial need. Preference is given to students from Banting Memorial High School in Alliston, Ontario, or to students from the town of New Tecumseth in Simcoe County. This bursary supports incoming mathematics students who demonstrate financial need as they begin their post-secondary education. Interested students must apply through the UW Entrance Bursary program by April 15. The application is available on the Awards and financial aid tab in the Waterloo application portal, with access limited to Ontario students who will be studying on a full-time basis and who are applying to post-secondary studies for the first time.
