Lottie Leach Leeds Scholarship

The Lottie Leach Leeds Scholarship is awarded to high school graduates who are residents of Illinois and enrolling at Eastern Illinois University as juniors. The scholarship is specifically designed for students who are dedicated to teaching fourth-grade students or younger in Early Childhood and Elementary Education programs. Recipients must demonstrate outstanding character and conduct, as well as scholastic achievement that reflects the quality needed to provide young students with a proper education. Financial need is a consideration in the selection process. The scholarship emphasizes criteria related to Illinois residency, junior-level enrollment, commitment to early childhood or elementary education, character, and academic achievement. This award is announced in the Spring semester and disbursed in the Fall semester.
