Lou Ann and Tom Waskom Scholarship

The Lou Ann and Tom Waskom Scholarship is awarded annually to students at Eastern Illinois University majoring in Career and Technical Education with an option in Technology Education, or Engineering Technology. A minimum of two scholarships are awarded each year, with one recipient from each major field when qualified applicants are available. Recipients must have completed at least 60 credit hours at Eastern Illinois University with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50. Preference is given to high school graduates from specific Illinois counties including Coles, Effingham, Cumberland, Shelby, and Edgar, though students from surrounding counties may be considered if no qualified applicants are available from the primary counties. The scholarship is announced in the Spring semester and disbursed in the Fall semester. Students are automatically considered for this award based on their completed General Application in the Eastern Illinois University scholarship system.
