About this opportunity
The Louise McKinney Post-Secondary Award recognizes outstanding academic achievement for students enrolled in undergraduate programs at Red Deer Polytechnic. This is a nominated scholarship where eligible current students are notified via email between June and August. The award is designed to support students in their second or subsequent year of undergraduate study who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance.
To be considered, students must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate program of at least 2 years in length, maintain Canadian citizenship or permanent residency status, and meet Alberta residency requirements. Recipients must have achieved President's Honour Roll status with a GPA of 3.7 or higher in the previous Fall and Winter terms with a full program load of at least 30 credits.
This provincial scholarship recognizes the highest level of academic achievement and provides significant financial support to help students continue their undergraduate education. Students cannot receive both the Jason Lang Scholarship and the Louise McKinney Award for the same academic year.
