About this opportunity
The Love Physics Bursary is an annual award offered by the Research School of Physics at the Australian National University. This bursary assists students who have been accepted into the Physics Honours specialisation and who originally come from regional and remote areas with the cost of their relocation to Canberra. The funding for this award was provided by the late Emeritus Professor John Love, who established the Love Scholarship fund during his lifetime with the first awards offered in 2015. Following his passing, Professor Love endowed the scholarships and bursary in perpetuity with a generous bequest to ANU. The bursary provides financial support to help cover relocation expenses for domestic students moving to Canberra to pursue their Honours studies in Physics. Two bursaries are available each year, with recipients receiving a once-off payment of $2,500 towards their relocation costs.
