About this opportunity
The Lovell and Berys Clark Scholarships were established from a gift from the late Mr Lovell Clark and Mrs Berys Clark in December 2002. Mr and Mrs Clark, who farmed together in South Auckland for many years, wished to make a major contribution to the scholarship of students undertaking study at a postgraduate level. Mr Clark was never able to undertake formal tertiary study himself and wished to make it possible for others to enjoy what he had missed. Mrs Clark completed a degree by distance at Massey University and valued the opportunity she had.
These scholarships support domestic postgraduate students studying full time or part time in the fields of science, biotechnology, agriculture, humanities, arts, or business at Massey University. The scholarships are valued between $5,000 and $15,000 for one year's duration, with up to three awards available annually.
Selection is based on academic merit, with consideration given to the merit of any postgraduate research for its New Zealand characteristic or foreseeable benefit to New Zealand. Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents demonstrating high achievement in their studies.
