LPDP Indonesia Scholarship

The Indonesian Education Scholarship (BPI) for master's & doctoral program is a scholarship program funded by the Indonesian Government through the use of the National Education Development Fund (DPPN), managed by the Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan (LPDP) under the Ministry of Finance. It provides the full financial support for Postgraduate (Master's & Doctoral) studies at accredited higher-education institutions in Indonesia or overseas, aimed at developing highly qualified Indonesian Human Resources with strong leadership and the capacity to contribute to Indonesia's advancement. The scholarships are open to Indonesian citizens with excellent academic achievement and strong leadership qualities who wish to continue their studies with master's or doctoral programmes in top universities, either in similar or different fields from the ones previously studied. The Strategic Industry STEM Scholarship focuses on the development of superior human resources in strategic industries in the fields of health, food security, digitalization, downstreaming, defense, advanced materials and manufacturing, energy, maritime, and other sectors that support these strategic industries. The scholarship offers two funding schemes: Full Funding Scheme where applicants receive all components of the scholarship fund (both Education Fund and Support Fund), and Partial Funding Scheme which is a joint funding arrangement between LPDP and individual scholarship recipients. Education funds typically cover registration, tuition fees, book allowance, thesis/dissertation research, international seminar participation, and international journal publication. Supporting funds cover transportation, visa application, health insurance, arrival costs, monthly living expenses, international competition participation, family allowance for doctoral students, and emergency funds if needed.
