The City of Oslo provides ongoing grants for arts and culture initiatives to contribute to quality and diversity in Oslo's arts and culture offerings, support communication of cultural heritage, and stimulate innovation and development. The grant supports open and public-facing arts and culture initiatives in Oslo presented by professional artists. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis for initiatives taking place in 2026, with applications required at least 8 weeks before implementation. For 2026, a total of NOK 12,000,000 has been allocated for ongoing grants and innovation projects. All grants awarded are individual grants that do not create precedents for future years. The program also prioritizes innovation projects in 2026, allowing applications for concept development and other experimental and innovative work that can benefit other arts and culture actors and result in open and public-facing initiatives in Oslo.
