About this opportunity
The Lt(N) Andrew Franklyn Webster Scholarship was established in 2014 to honour the late naval officer who passed away while serving on HMCS Toronto. Andrew was a graduate of Dartmouth High School and the Royal Military College, and always spoke fondly of his time at Dartmouth High. One $2,000 scholarship is awarded annually to a Dartmouth High Grade 12 student who embodies Andrew's qualities as an all-around student who enjoyed academics, sports and friends, and who plans to attend an accredited post-secondary university or technical college in Canada. The recipient will be selected by the Dartmouth High scholarship committee. Applicants must be active participants in school sports, clubs, student council and/or volunteer activities, demonstrate financial need for post-secondary education support, and show themselves to be friendly, compassionate and caring to fellow students. The scholarship will be awarded once proof of registration and attendance at a post-secondary institution is received.
