Luce Scholarship

The Luce Scholarship provides stipends, language training, and individualized professional placement in Asia for approximately 15-18 Luce Scholars each year. This prestigious fellowship is designed for U.S. citizens who are college seniors, graduate students, and young professionals in a variety of fields who have had limited exposure to Asia. The program aims to increase understanding between Asia and the United States through immersive professional experiences. The fellowship provides a living stipend based on the Department of State's Cost-of-Living index and housing costs in the host country, allowing scholars to work and live in Asia while gaining valuable international experience. The program is open to applicants from all academic majors and professional backgrounds, emphasizing candidates who have not had significant prior exposure to Asia.
