About this opportunity
The Luetta Johnston Scholarship Fund was created at The Pittsburgh Foundation by the late Ruth M. Johnston-Feller and Robert L. Feller in memory of Ruth's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Martin Johnston and especially in honor of Ruth's mother, Luetta Johnston, a former resident of Polo, Illinois and long-time teacher in a one-room school in that vicinity. Scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors at Polo High School, Polo, Illinois. The scholarship supports students planning to attend a 2- or 4-year college or university with a minimum GPA of 2.0. Preference is given to applicants who can demonstrate financial need and those who plan to study science (astronomy, biology, chemistry, earth science, physics), medicine, or engineering. This single-year award varies in amount and is administered through Scholarship America.
