About This Opportunity

The Luna deRosenroll (Campeau) Award is presented to a student who is a First Nation, Inuit, or Métis person of Canada in accordance with the Constitution Act, 1982, Part 2, Section 35(2) with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in any year of an undergraduate degree at Campus Saint-Jean. Selection is based on academic standing and indicated financial need. This award was created by Dr. Diane Campeau in memory of her granddaughter Luna Campeau (deRosenroll). Born just after the historical eclipse of November 2021, Luna left us 13 days later on the night of the new moon. Although her time on earth was short, she was able to shed light on a rare genetic disease (Myotonic dystrophy type 1) that has saved the health of many people. The award is available to students at the University of Alberta's Campus Saint-Jean and recipients are automatically considered based on their completed General Application.
