About This Opportunity

The NASA Postdoctoral Program offers unique research opportunities for highly-talented scientists to engage in ongoing NASA research projects. This specific opportunity focuses on advancing knowledge on the formation and evolution of planetary bodies through detailed study of their interiors. Research areas include planetary geophysics such as Apollo and InSight seismic or electromagnetic data analyses, theoretical waveform modeling, equations of state modeling, shallow and deep structure determination, surface image analysis related to seismology and tectonism, and modeling in support of site selection and science return for future planetary geophysical missions to the Moon, Mars, and icy satellites of the outer Solar System. These competitive fellowships are one to three years in duration and are designed to advance NASA's missions in space science, Earth science, aeronautics, space operations, exploration systems, and astrobiology.
