LUSTRA+ Scholarship

The LUSTRA+ Scholarship is a funding opportunity provided by Leiden University to support Bachelor and Master students who want to study, conduct research, or do an internship at an institution or company in the UK and all countries outside Europe (except Turkey). The scholarship encourages students to gain international experience and specialist knowledge outside Europe. The activity abroad must be a fully recognized part of the student's study programme at Leiden University and approved by their programme's Board of Examiners. The LUSTRA+ period must be a minimum of 14 days and a maximum of 12 months in duration. Students may apply for a LUSTRA+ scholarship more than once, with funding available for a maximum of 12 months during their bachelor's programme and 12 months during their Master's programme. The scholarship provides one-off award amounts ranging from €200 to €650 depending on the length of stay abroad. Students must continue to pay statutory tuition fees to Leiden University during their stay abroad and must notify the university of any cancellations or changes to their travel dates.
