About this opportunity
The Luther Scholar Guarantee Scholarship is a prestigious full-tuition scholarship offered by Concordia University Wisconsin for undergraduate students planning to become Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) pastors. The university awards two full tuition Luther Scholar recipients each year to new freshmen who declare a pre-seminary track. This scholarship provides additional funding up to full tuition for eligible students who demonstrate strong academic performance, active involvement in their LCMS congregations and communities, and a clear commitment to pursuing pastoral ministry in the LCMS. The scholarship is renewable annually for up to four years based on continued enrollment, campus residency, academic performance, and active participation in the Pre-Seminary Program. Recipients must maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA, participate in at least four Pre-Seminary Student Association activities per year, attend at least one recruitment event annually, and re-affirm their commitment to becoming an LCMS pastor each year.
