M. Jean Gorrell Memorial Scholarship in Geoscience

The M. Jean Gorrell Memorial Scholarship in Geoscience is offered annually to an undergraduate student in the Faculty of Science at the University of Calgary, majoring in Geology or Geophysics. The scholarship recognizes academic merit and outstanding performance in specific courses. Eligible students must be in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of undergraduate study and demonstrate exceptional achievement in Geology 510 or Geophysics 509. The scholarship is made possible through the Estate of M. Jean Gorrell and provides up to $5,000 CAD to one recipient each year. This is a nominated scholarship for continuing undergraduate students, with selection based on academic performance in the geosciences.
