About this opportunity
This scholarship is funded by the Royal Society of New Zealand as part of Professor Nikki Hessell's Marsden project on settler treaty-making and English poetry. Its purpose is to fund Masters theses that will complement the main project. The scholarship is for a MA student to work on a thesis in English Literature, focused on at least one of the following sub-fields: British eighteenth-century and/or Romantic poetry, or settler colonialism and Indigenous sovereignty. The successful applicant will be selected by Professor Nikki Hessell based on academic merit, the quality of the proposed thesis research, and its relevance to the Marsden project to which it will contribute. Applicants must have a completed Honours qualification or equivalent.
