About this opportunity
This is a Master by Research scholarship opportunity offered in collaboration with Praetorian Aeronautics and supported by the CSIRO Next Generation Graduate Program. The research project focuses on developing machine learning methods for autonomous search of radio frequency emitters using unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) swarms. The scholarship provides an industry-based higher degree research project that combines advanced machine learning techniques, multi-agent systems, and signal processing to address real-world challenges in autonomous RF emitter detection and localization. The research will involve programming and simulation, mathematical modelling, reinforcement learning applications, spectrum sensing and localization, and optimization and control algorithms for decision-making under constraints. This opportunity is specifically designed for domestic students to work on cutting-edge technology at the intersection of aerospace, machine learning, and electromagnetic systems.
