MacLauchlan Prizes for Effective Writing (Coursework)

The MacLauchlan Prizes for Effective Writing (Coursework) are awards designed to recognize outstanding written work produced by returning undergraduate students at the University of Prince Edward Island. Up to thirty (30) prizes of $1,000 each will be available for students who have demonstrated excellence in writing during the previous academic year (September 1 to August 31) in a UPEI course where writing comprises a substantive role in the final grade of the course. This award encourages and celebrates high-quality academic writing across all disciplines at UPEI. Students must submit their work through an application process by the October 6 deadline. The prize recognizes the importance of effective written communication in undergraduate education and rewards students who have excelled in this critical skill.
