MacLauchlan Prizes for Effective Writing (UPEI Writing Centre)

The MacLauchlan Prizes for Effective Writing is an award program at the University of Prince Edward Island that recognizes excellence in writing development. Up to eleven prizes are available annually for returning undergraduate students who have demonstrated the greatest improvement in their writing skills through participation in UPEI writing support programs coordinated by the UPEI Writing Centre. The award celebrates students' commitment to enhancing their writing abilities and their engagement with academic support services. This program encourages students to take advantage of writing support resources and recognizes the value of continuous improvement in written communication skills throughout their undergraduate education.
