About this opportunity

The CARE Grants Programme supports community organisations across the UK to tackle unfairness in cancer care. The programme aims to fund projects that challenge the current system and create lasting change for people facing the greatest barriers to care. CARE stands for Culture, Agency, Respect, and Equity. Macmillan believes community organisations understand their communities best and are perfectly placed to address gaps in cancer care. The programme funds projects under three themes: Cultural Responsiveness in Cancer Care (helping healthcare services better understand and meet cultural needs), Shared Decision-Making (making it easier for people to understand treatment options and participate in decisions), and Dementia-Friendly Cancer Care (supporting people living with both cancer and dementia). Projects must be community-led, co-designed, and demonstrate clear leadership with capacity to create change through well-defined goals and plans.
