About this opportunity
This scholarship was established in 2022 in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Macon (GA) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated. The purpose of this scholarship is to help students from Central Georgia attend a Historically Black College or University and to provide support and impactful experiences ensuring college completion and success beyond. The scholarship provides a $2,000 award, paid as $500 annually, renewable for up to four years. One new recipient is selected annually, with up to four concurrent awards possible. Applicants will be evaluated based on financial need, scholastic achievement, community service, leadership, extracurricular activities, letters of recommendation, and personal statement. Prior recipients are eligible to renew the award each subsequent year for up to four years if they maintain eligibility criteria and complete required follow-ups.
