About this opportunity

The MacPherson Apprenticeship Bursary was created to support the next generation of trades people in Alberta. Ms. MacPherson believed that a career in the trades allowed individuals to provide a good life for themselves and their family. Apprenticing allows students to work while gaining hands on experience to further their training in the classroom. This award is available to students enrolled in the third period of the Boilermaker, Carpenter, Electrician, Iron Worker, Plumber, Powerline Technician, or Steamfitter/Pipefitter Apprenticeship program at NAIT. The award is based on demonstrated financial need and a minimum academic achievement of 70%. Preference may be given to single parents or children from single parent homes. Students must submit an application to be considered for this award and will only be considered for the intake they attend NAIT.
