About this opportunity
The Madeline Marie Molzahn Sherrod Memorial Scholarship was established by Dale Sherrod and his children to honor the memory of Madeline Sherrod, his wife and their mother. This renewable scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors demonstrating financial need who plan to enroll in a four-year accredited college or university. Two scholarships are awarded annually: the first for $1,500 (renewable) available to seniors from either the St. Vrain Valley School District in Colorado or from the public school districts of Ainsworth, Hay Springs, or Wood River in Nebraska; and the second for $1,250 (renewable) available to seniors from the St. Vrain Valley School District in Colorado. The scholarship award is restricted to tuition, fees, required books and supplies, room and board, and other direct educational expenses related to study at an accredited four-year college or university, with award amounts split between semesters.
