MAECI Scholarships for Study in Italy

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) awards scholarships annually for studying in Italy to both international students and Italian students who are permanent residents in countries other than Italy. The aim of these scholarships is to foster international cultural cooperation, spread the knowledge of the Italian language, culture and science, as well as promote the Italian economic and technological system throughout the world. Grants are offered to pursue study, training, and/or research programs at Italian Higher Education Institutes, both public and legally recognised. The scholarship provides a monthly allowance of 900 euros (net) with a duration that can vary from 6 to 9 months. The scholarship will be paid each three months, with merit conditions required to maintain the scholarship in following academic years. Eligible courses include Master's degree programmes (Laurea magistrale), PhD courses, and research projects under academic supervision.
