The Maggie Osler Memorial Scholarship in History honors Dr. Margaret Osler, a graduate from Indiana University who came to Calgary in 1975. She was a prolific scholar of international reputation in History of Philosophy and Science. The award honors her work and 35-year contribution to the History Department. This scholarship is offered annually to a continuing undergraduate student entering third or fourth year in the Faculty of Arts, majoring in History, with preference given to students with an interest in History and Philosophy of Science. The award is based on academic merit and provides $2,000 to one deserving student each year.
