Maimie S Simpson Memorial Scholarship

The Maimie S Simpson Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to a full-time student with superior academic achievement registered in the second last year of studies who has attended the University of Alberta for at least the two previous years. Recipients are selected on the basis of leadership abilities and potential as demonstrated by contributions to campus life and to the University of Alberta community, as well as academic standing. The scholarship was endowed by the University of Alberta Alumni Association in recognition of Maimie S Simpson who served the University and its students for many years as the Dean of Women. Previous recipients of the Alumni Association's Reginald C Lister Memorial Scholarships and the Alumni 75th Anniversary Scholarship are not eligible for this award. Students are automatically considered based on their completed General Application through the University of Alberta scholarship portal.
