About This Opportunity

The Main Grants Scheme for Village Halls provides funding up to £75,000 to support larger improvement projects to rural community buildings in England. The scheme is designed for those responsible for rural community buildings who wish to make substantive improvements to their building, whether that be extensions or improving energy efficiency and contributing to Net Zero. Awards can be made to cover 20% of eligible project costs, from £7,500 to a maximum amount of £75,000. Projects must therefore be to the value of £37,500 or more with the 80% balance of funding being provided from other sources. This programme aims to help village halls and rural community buildings undertake significant capital improvements including full refits and extensions. Note: The fund is currently closed but a Small Grants Fund will open for a short period to use up a small underspend.
