Mairi Riddel Memorial Prize

The Mairi Riddel Memorial Prize is awarded to a graduate student in the English department at the University of Victoria for the best seminar essay. This prize recognizes excellence in academic writing and critical analysis within the English discipline. Graduating students are eligible for this award, which is assigned based on nominations from the Department of English rather than direct student applications. Approval of the recipient is made by the Faculty of Graduate Studies Graduate Awards Committee upon the recommendation of the Department of English.
