About this opportunity
The Malcolm D Saunders Bursary in Mining Engineering is awarded annually to a student with satisfactory academic standing entering or completing the fourth year of studies in the Mining Engineering program at the University of Alberta. The bursary was established through endowed funds by Margaret Saunders in memory of her brother Malcolm D Saunders, who graduated from the University of Alberta with a BSc in Mining Engineering in 1935. Recipients are selected based on a combination of financial need, academic standing, leadership qualities, social conscience, and aptitude for the field of mining engineering. This award recognizes students who demonstrate both academic merit and financial need while showing promise and commitment to the mining engineering profession.
