About This Opportunity

The Manawatū District Accountants Education Trust Bursary was established in 2007 and is financed by the Manawatū District Accountants Education Trust. This bursary provides financial support to second- or third-year undergraduate students enrolled in the Bachelor of Accountancy, Bachelor of Business (Accountancy), or the Bachelor of Agribusiness at Massey University. The scholarship is aimed at students who intend to pursue the Chartered Accountant designation in the area covered and serviced by the Manawatū District. Eligible students must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents and be internal students based at the Massey University Manawatū campus, or studying by distance and residing in the Manawatū, Horowhenua, Tararua or Rangitikei regions within the Horizons Regional Council district. Applicants must be enrolled full-time in the second or third year of their Bachelor of Accountancy or Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) degree. Those enrolled in the Bachelor of Agribusiness are eligible if they have completed accountancy courses. Selection is based on participation in community initiatives as well as academic achievements. The bursary provides $2,000 for one year's duration, with one award available. Applications open on 15 January 2026 and close on 15 April 2026.
