Manuel Machado Occupational Health and Safety Award

The Manuel Machado Occupational Health and Safety Award is available to students enrolled in the Baking and Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts (years 1 and 2), Hospitality Management, and Professional Meat Cutting and Merchandising programs at NAIT. The award is granted based on a written essay of no less than 500 words that addresses two key questions: 'What is the role of Occupational Health & Safety in the Hospitality Industry?' and 'How are you going to continue to display leadership with regards to Occupational Health & Safety in your industry?' This award recognizes students who demonstrate understanding of and commitment to occupational health and safety principles in the hospitality sector. Students must complete the application and submit the required essay to be considered for this award. The award amount varies.
