About this opportunity
The Margaret Hamer Scholarship for Women in Engineering is an undergraduate scholarship valued at $6,000 per year and tenable for one year. Established in 2013, this scholarship has been generously donated by the Hamer family to encourage prospective female students with a strong academic record to pursue further studies in engineering at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sydney. The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit (performance in the HSC or equivalent) and a personal statement. Recipients must be female, Australian citizens or permanent residents, and recent school leavers who qualify for entry into an undergraduate program (including combined degrees) in the Faculty of Engineering. The scholarship is paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester and requires recipients to maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 65 each semester to continue receiving funds.
