Margaret Howard Scholarship

The Margaret Howard Scholarship is offered by Federation University Australia to support female students pursuing studies in STEM fields. Named after Margaret Howard (married name Jenkins), who was born and raised in Melbourne and worked as an Executive Assistant in the SEC, reaching a high level position. Despite being passionate about her career and keen to study, she was unable to pursue education and had to discontinue working after having children. This scholarship is established in her name to help female students in STEM achieve their career aspirations that she herself was not able to fulfill. The scholarship provides $1,000 in financial support to assist with educational expenses for eligible students enrolled in Bachelor, Honours, or Postgraduate programs at Federation University Australia campuses in Ballarat, Berwick, Brisbane, Gippsland, online, or Wimmera locations.
