About This Opportunity

The Margaret Scott Wright Scholarship is offered annually to undergraduate students entering the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Calgary through either the Degree Holder or Transfer Route. This scholarship honors the legacy of Dr. Margaret Scott Wright, who served as Dean of the Faculty of Nursing from 1979-1984 and as Acting Dean from 1989-1990. The award is funded by colleagues, friends, and students of Dr. Wright. The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit, specifically the admission average to the Bachelor of Nursing program. Two scholarships are available annually, each valued at up to $1,350. This is an internal, nominated award for which eligible students are automatically considered through the Fall Undergraduate Nominated Award application process. Recipients must be entering undergraduate students in the Faculty of Nursing. There are no citizenship or residency restrictions, making this opportunity available to domestic and international students alike who meet the academic and program entry requirements.
