About This Opportunity
The Margie Mitchell Memorial Award is awarded to a student with satisfactory academic standing entering the second, third, or fourth year of the Bachelor of Arts in Recreation, Sport, and Tourism degree at the University of Alberta. Selection is based on multiple criteria including contribution to and involvement with the Physical Education Council of Students (PERCS), involvement with Recreation students in general, contribution to and involvement in professional and community organizations and associations in the general field of recreation and leisure services, and academic standing. The award is funded by endowed funds from the Physical Education Council of Students (PERCS) and private donors. Students are automatically considered for this award based on their completed General Application through the University of Alberta's scholarship platform.
