Marian Koumarelas Memorial Leadership Scholarship

The Marian Koumarelas Memorial Leadership Scholarship is awarded to Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents with superior academic achievement enrolled in the second, third, or fourth year of an undergraduate degree program at the University of Alberta. Recipients are selected based on academic achievement and demonstrated leadership through participation in university or community organizations, as well as involvement in sports or cultural activities. This endowed scholarship was established in memory of Marian Koumarelas by her husband Harry and sons Demetri and Alexander. Marian was a true believer in family values and education and was herself a graduate of the University of Alberta in Fine Arts and Education. Students are automatically considered for this award based on their completed General Application through the University of Alberta scholarship portal.
