Marilyn Snearley Memorial Scholarship

The Marilyn Snearley Memorial Scholarship is awarded to students pursuing a career in Music Education at Eastern Illinois University. The scholarship is specifically designed for junior-level students with a declared major in Music Education. Preference is given to students pursuing Vocal/Choral or Music Education Certification for teaching at the junior or senior high school level. Recipients must have completed at least 30 credit hours of college-level coursework at Eastern Illinois University with an overall EIU GPA of 3.0. The scholarship is announced in the Spring and disbursed in the Fall semester. Financial need is not a consideration for this award. Recipients may be eligible to apply for and receive the award again in subsequent years provided they continue to meet the established criteria.
