About This Opportunity

Marine Credit Union believes in and supports higher education by offering nine $1,000 scholarships to its members and/or their children. These scholarships are intended to be representative of the membership and Marine Credit Union's mission to advance the lives of people from a place of financial need to a life of ownership and giving back in their communities. The scholarship award will be paid directly to each recipient's college or university for tuition, fees, and other educational expenses. An independent committee selects recipients based on academic history, transcripts, goals, engagements and commitments, responses to short-answer prompts, circumstances, and letter of recommendation. Recipients must be enrolled as a full-time collegiate student during the next academic year, and the recipient or a parent/guardian must be a member in good standing of Marine Credit Union.
