About this opportunity
The Marine Energy Fellowship: Graduate Student Track provides opportunities for students enrolled in full-time master's or doctoral degree programs requiring a thesis to conduct research in marine energy or areas aligned with the H2O mission. Fellows conduct research at approved host facilities for at least six months, either in-person, hybrid, or virtually, over a 12-month appointment period. The program is administered by the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) on behalf of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Participants receive competitive monthly stipends, health insurance supplements, travel and education allowances, limited tuition reimbursement, and support for relocation to host facilities. The fellowship aims to advance marine energy research while supporting graduate students' academic and professional development through hands-on research experience and mentorship at leading facilities.
