About this opportunity
The Rutgers Urban Forestry Program is offering a scholarship opportunity for Rutgers undergraduate students through a one-time allocation of funding from the Marion E. McRae Trust Forestry Scholarship. This scholarship supports students pursuing studies related to forestry and tree community function in urban, rural, or wildland settings.
Two scholarships of $5,000 each will be awarded to eligible undergraduate students. The award will be directly credited to the student's account with the University bursar's office. Interested students are asked to self-nominate by filling out the application form.
Eligible candidates must be residents of New Jersey studying a major with a stated emphasis related to Forestry. For example, students in Plant Biology or EPIB could apply if their work and career plan has an intersection with forest land management or tree community function in urban, rural, or wildland environments. Applicants must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5.
This scholarship provides financial support to help undergraduate students pursuing forestry-related studies continue their education at Rutgers University.
