About this opportunity
The Mark McQueen Foundation has been set up by the McQueen family from Liverpool in loving memory of their son Mark. The Foundation aims to support young men struggling with emotional and mental health issues with the ultimate aim of helping to reduce the rate of male suicide in the area. Priority is given to projects working with young men, and projects which provide rapid, immediate and early responses and intervention for men presenting with suicidal ideation. The fund supports various initiatives including support groups, helpline and counselling services, campaigns for positive mindset change around mental health, research projects, and activities using music therapy. The foundation offers three levels of funding: grants up to £3,000 for total project costs, match funding up to 50% of total project cost, or underwriting of community events with the Foundation covering any shortfall in funds.
