About this opportunity
The Mark McQueen Foundation has been set up by the McQueen family from Liverpool in loving memory of their son Mark. The fund prioritizes mental health projects working with young men, particularly those providing rapid, immediate, and early responses and intervention for men presenting with suicidal ideation. The foundation supports a range of activities including support groups and helplines for young men with mental health issues, support for families who have lost someone to suicide, campaigns for positive mindset change around mental health, research projects, and initiatives using music to work with young men. The fund also supports projects tackling bullying and helping unemployed young men into training and employment. Three levels of funding are available: grants up to £3,000 for full project costs, match funding up to 50% of total project costs, and underwriting of community or charity events to cover any shortfall in funds.
