Mark Van Mechelen Scholarship in Computing Science

The Mark Van Mechelen Scholarship in Computing Science is awarded to an Alberta resident who is a Canadian Citizen with superior academic achievement enrolled in the fourth year of an Honors or Specialization degree program in Computing Science. The scholarship recognizes students who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance combined with meaningful contributions to their community through service and volunteer activities. Selection is based on academic achievement and demonstrated community service and/or volunteer activity, with preference given to students who are not currently receiving another award. This scholarship is supported by endowed funds provided by the Department of Energy and administered by the Faculty of Science at the University of Alberta.
