About This Opportunity

The Marshall Scholarship is a prestigious postgraduate award enabling outstanding American students to study at UK universities. Established as a living gift from the British people to honor the ideals of the Marshall Plan, the scholarship recognizes candidates who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, leadership potential, and commitment to strengthening UK-US understanding. Scholars are selected through a competitive process involving eight regional centers across the United States. The Selection Committees seek candidates who have the potential to excel as scholars, leaders, and as contributors to improved UK-US understanding. Applications must be endorsed by the applicant's undergraduate institution. The scholarship covers university fees, cost of living expenses, and various other allowances for study at any UK university. Awards are available for either one or two years of postgraduate study, and scholars may pursue degrees across virtually any field of study.
