About this opportunity
The Martine Darmon Meyer Scholarship is given to outstanding bachelor's degree students with a major in the College of Letters & Science at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. This scholarship supports junior and senior students who graduated from Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) and demonstrate financial need. Recipients must maintain full-time enrollment and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25. The scholarship is not open to second-degree students.
Students are considered automatically through the Panther Scholarship Portal General Application and the College of Letters & Science Scholarships and Awards Application, typically evaluated in spring each year. No separate application is required beyond thoroughly completing these general applications. Awards given in spring are designated for the following academic year.
The scholarship award varies up to $1,500 per recipient and is funded by the Estate of Martine Darmon Meyer through the UWM Foundation. This opportunity specifically aims to support academically strong students from Milwaukee Public Schools who are pursuing degrees in the liberal arts and sciences.
