Mary B. Cassata Library Studies and Information Department Fund

This scholarship fund is held by the Community Foundation of Greater Buffalo with final decisions made by their board of directors. University at Buffalo faculty make recommendations for disbursements annually based on application review. The award is designated for master's degree candidates in the UB School of Information and Library Science who maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicants must have been born in and be a citizen of the United States with domicile in New York State. Financial need is a key consideration, requiring completion of the FAFSA and a financial need essay. The scholarship supports students pursuing graduate education in library and information science with demonstrated commitment to the field through research, leadership activities, honor society membership, publications, and plans for continued study.
