About this opportunity
The MAS Sustainable Agriculture Award is sponsored by the Munster Agricultural Society and recognises excellence in agricultural sustainability education. This award is specifically designed for students enrolled in the CK412 Agricultural Science program at University College Cork. The award recognises the top performing student across a suite of agri-environmental sustainability modules, demonstrating both academic excellence and commitment to sustainable agricultural practices.
The award provides both monetary recognition and prestige through a silver medal and €250 cash prize. It is aimed at encouraging students to excel in understanding and applying principles of sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship within the agricultural sector. This scholarship reflects the partnership between UCC and the Munster Agricultural Society in promoting sustainable agricultural education and practices in Ireland.
Eligible students must be currently enrolled at UCC and pursuing the CK412 Agricultural Science program. The award is based on academic performance across multiple agri-environmental sustainability modules, making it a competitive recognition of comprehensive knowledge in this critical field. For further information about eligibility criteria and application procedures, students are directed to contact Prof Frank Buckley in the Agricultural Science department within the School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences.
