About this opportunity
The Massey University Postgraduate Overseas Research Grant provides financial assistance to full-time postgraduate research students who require a short-term period (up to 6 months) of study or research overseas. The grant supports travel for seminars, workshops, courses, conferences where the attendee is presenting a paper, cooperative research with researchers abroad, and research or fieldwork at facilities not available in New Zealand such as research institutes or libraries.
This grant is specifically designed for postgraduate students enrolled in a Postgraduate Diploma or Master's Degree at Massey University. Doctoral students are not eligible for this grant. The program aims to enhance postgraduate research through international exposure and collaboration while ensuring students can represent Massey University and New Zealand positively abroad.
The grant provides $2,000 NZD in funding support, with multiple awards available each year. Recipients are selected based on academic merit, the strength and feasibility of the proposed research, the potential benefit of the overseas travel to the student's postgraduate study, and the applicant's ability to represent New Zealand and Massey University in a positive light.
