About This Opportunity

These scholarships are for postgraduate students interested in studying in Physical Activity, Play, Active Recreation, Sport for Development and Public Health. This scholarship is funded by Te Hau Kori – Centre for Physical Activity and Wellbeing and has been established to encourage participation in the new suite of postgraduate degrees. The scholarship provides up to $16,000 to be paid towards tuition fees, along with student services and hardship fees. Applicants who have financial hardship, who are Māori and Pasifika, athletes and refugee status are strongly encouraged to apply. Recipients are expected to complete a Progress Report at the end of the year and write a thank you letter to the donor within one month of being awarded the scholarship.

Review process

Students will automatically be considered for the scholarship when they apply for enrolment, and are accepted into, Master of Physical Activity and Hauora programme. The recipients will be selected by the Co-Directors of Te Hau Kori, Centre for Physical Activity and Wellbeing.
